Terms of Use
Last updated: September 18, 2026
These Terms of Use govern your use of the Jotbrim mobile application. By using Jotbrim, you agree to these Terms. If you use Jotbrim on behalf of a business, you represent that you have authority to do so.
1. What Jotbrim provides
Jotbrim is a business utility intended to help independent tradespeople and small service providers organize jobs and create documents such as estimates and invoices. Features may include customer records, saved services, job notes, photos, receipts, material or extra-work tracking, PDF generation, payment-status tracking, reminders, backup/export, and related tools.
2. Your responsibility for business records
You are responsible for the accuracy, completeness, legality, tax treatment, numbering, wording, prices, discounts, taxes, payment terms, customer information, and other content in documents you create with Jotbrim.
Jotbrim is not a certified tax invoicing system, accounting service, legal service, or tax advisory service. The app does not guarantee that a quote, invoice, receipt, tax calculation, or other document satisfies every law, licensing rule, accounting rule, or local business requirement that may apply to you.
3. Your data and backups
The planned V1 release uses a local-first design. You are responsible for maintaining access to your device and for making backups when you need protection against device loss, app deletion, storage failure, or other data loss.
Importing a backup restores supported Jotbrim business data. Restoring a Google Play purchase restores eligible subscription rights. These are separate processes.
4. Free access and Jotbrim Plus
Jotbrim may provide a free usage tier with limits such as a number of new jobs or saved services during a defined period. The app will disclose the applicable free limits in the user interface.
Jotbrim Plus is an optional auto-renewing subscription sold through Google Play. Available billing periods, localized prices, taxes, and eligibility may vary by country and are displayed by Google Play before you confirm a purchase.
If you purchase an auto-renewing subscription, it renews until canceled. You can manage or cancel it through Google Play. Canceling renewal normally stops future renewal charges while allowing access through the end of the current paid period, subject to Google Play's rules. Refunds are handled according to Google Play policy and applicable law.
The app must not require an active Plus subscription merely to view or export business records that you previously created and that remain available on your device.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Jotbrim to violate law, infringe another person's rights, distribute malware, intentionally interfere with the app or its services, falsify access rights, bypass purchase controls, or use another person's information without a lawful basis.
6. Photos and other content
You retain responsibility for content you add to Jotbrim. You must have the right or permission to store, use, export, or share customer information, photos, logos, receipts, and other material you place in the app.
7. Availability and changes
We may improve, modify, add, or remove features over time. Some features may depend on Google Play, RevenueCat, Firebase, your operating system, your device, or third-party services. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of every external service.
Changes to free-plan limits or paid benefits will be disclosed in the app or store listing as appropriate. Changes must not be used to block access to existing local records solely to force a purchase.
8. No guarantee of payment or business results
Jotbrim can help you prepare and organize work documents, but it does not guarantee that a customer will accept an estimate, pay an invoice, approve extra work, or pay on time. Any reminder, unbilled-item warning, or payment-status feature is an organizational aid only.
9. Disclaimer
To the extent permitted by law, Jotbrim is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We disclaim warranties that are not required by applicable law, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from use of Jotbrim, including lost profits, lost business opportunities, lost customer data, or loss caused by inaccurate information entered by the user. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
11. Ending use
You may stop using Jotbrim at any time. Removing the app may remove locally stored data unless you have separately created a backup. Canceling Jotbrim Plus does not automatically delete local business records.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when the app, subscription model, or legal requirements change. The latest version will show an updated date.
